Delights for your tummy

Recently I have been wanting to bake new things that I haven't tried out yet and because I'm a member of a facebook group, who seems to enjoy cooking and posting their meals/baked goods I decided to do a bit of baking today. I made a crunchie cheesecake and a banoffee pie (for the boyfriend and his family)

To the left is my cheesecake, as my other homebaked good is chilling in the fridge, eagerly awaiting to get its photo taken. The recipe for the cheesecake was a basic normal recipe that I use, which enables me to vary the filling, for example flake or malteasers etc. The recipe is
  • 300g of biscuits (i use hob nobs to get it a bit of a crunch)
  • 100g of butter to be melted
  • a tub of soft cheese
  • 300ml double cream
  • sugar (to sweeten cream and cheese mix)
  • for this recipe three crunchie bars and one bar for the decorative topping
Simples! I love making cheesecake and normally pretend the calories are the same as clouds ;)

In other glorious news I have got rid of my.... GVH! I woke up today and my hands, arms, legs, stomach and face are clear. Before you ask, of course i praised my skin and welcomed it back into the normal world were red dots don't cover it all the time. But I'm so happy today :)

I just have to pull my cotton socks up and get on with at least some revision before I meet my friends later tonight for a catch up session. I love having the ability to go places now, something I thought would never return with my transplant.

Ohhh! I bought candy coloured nail polish so I shall take photos and upload them to show you my buyings :)

Culinary Delights And The Bra Plight

Winter seems to be approaching us nearly every day and with the current weather being in a bad mood (wind and rain) I got a craving for winter vegetables. It was a type of craving that you cant help but fulfil so tonight for dinner I made them for the first ever time (the photo btw is just off the Internet...i hope it makes your mouth water) and they turned out really yummy, even if I do say so myself. I had them with a baked potato and a bit of steak. So nice on a day like this.

In other news *rolls her eyes in annoyance* my patience is wearing veryyyy thin with bras. I really can't be bothered to find the time or the energy to go into town to purchase new bras and my current ones I don't think are doing their job (they have maybe went on strike?) anyway I got my parcel of a couple of new bras and I'm still not sure whether I'm 100% happy with them. So I'm now searching my house for a tape measure because I'm going to do it old school and measure myself because I have reached my patience level with my underwear (lol)

This was my day for another five tablets of steroids, I'm happy to say they don't seem to be having the effect that I was scared about and my skin seems to be dying down slowly but surely. I think they will probably continue to make me take them for another week because of the whole day gap in between taking the tablets because of my high sensitivity to any type of steroid. Other than that I'm tottering along like usual. Ohhh my eyebrows are finally RE-growing after falling out again :/ I think i scratched my face so much that they fell out, which i was sad about, but all my own fault.

I also got a cool new product for my hammie, Oreo. Its called CareFresh Confetti, which is a type of bedding that basically holds more of their pee and keeps the cage from being smelly. I'm not sure if you can fully see the colours, but the bedding itself is very candy like now in terms of the bright colours. I'm finding more products for cages etc that are purposely being coloured, for example Pets At Home now do woodshavings that are pink, blue, lemon or purple... just because.... although the last two are scented. But still I found this pretty awesome!

Puppy Cuddles and Snowflakes

This is Tilly, my sisters new springer/collie aka sprollie puppy. She is ten weeks old and was rescued from a dog home. In this actual photo she is sleeping beside me (thats my legs lol) and seems to sleep fine if someone is near her or she is near warmth. Such a cutie! I get annoyed at the fact that I didn't see Charlie (my own dog) at that age, he would have been cracker.

Anyway, I wasn't able to blog last night about my lovely life since I was staying at my sister's. But yesterday I took my first dose of steroids and it did suprise me because I just felt like I had drank a litre of diet coke, similar to a sugar rush so I'm slightly less scared, I just hope that the dose is effective enough in dampening down the GVH.

On to my snowflakeesss, my lovely dry skin that seems to create snowflakes anywere i go (mmhhh attractive!) mostly Im just the one who can see them, but then again you are your own worst enemy. Hopefully my skin will get better once the GVH is under control because it does nothing for self esteem or confidence.

I have now got six day to go till my first sit, eek not lookin forward to the whole maths business of it, but it has to be done.

I'll leave you with that quote. Don't really want to get into it, but I know and the person knows what it is about. After all, bloggers shouldn't moan and talk about others.

"We might not get tommorrow"

Bonsoir *strokes blog whilst its purr's* well I woke up today to a lovely site, some horrid man had come along and drew dots all over my body with red pen in the middle of the night.... oh no wait thats just my GVH skin rash exploding all over my body, causing what can only be described as acid being poured onto ur hands, along with someone making your skin itch.....like a biatch?

Ah day 117 today and I have had to accept the fact that steriods is the only route to go for my skin. I suppose the sooner i go on them and the sooner I get off them then they can lower my anti rejection drug... which is a slooowwww and looonggg process GAH! But im fed up with my skin being so sore, and to be honest my immune system could use a break. I'm just scared that because I'm super sensitive to steriods, that I will become a nutter (the way i was last time i was on them) But one can only wait and see (I start them tommorrow)

In other news London/England has decided to display their love of fire and stealing. I don't think the actions of the citizens of England is the right option but then again riots to me are normal because of where I come from, so the media coverage is just laughable in the sense that its only urging more people to act criminally BECAUSE they are getting attention from the media. I think the rioter's orginal message is actually getting lost somewere in their criminal behaviour. But that's just my opinion and everyone is entitled to their's.

I have still got to continue revising for my accounting first sit which is on the 17th and par that I'm sort of trying to keep going, as usual.

Other things in my life aren't great, but a blog isn't the place :) *feed blog treat*

One more thing before i leave... check this song out (prob know it) and dan-danceeee "marrry youuuu" by Bruno Mars. Everyone wants to marry me.... even you ;)

My Creations

As promised these are my wall decals that i got off ebay. I first noticed them after someone posted a photo on a facebook group showing their's off so I thought it would add something extra to my own room. I got the dandelion first but I have not finished it, as it should have the blow away flake things surrounding it.

The second wall decal I decided to choose after I found it for motivation phrases. I seen it in a article when a woman was fighting for cancer and her husband give her a card with that inside it. It just made me realise that a lot of people have "storms" in their life but do they ever think of "dancing in the rain" instead of hiding away or being scared?
Nothing is gained from being scared. On another note I found this great website from another blogger, called http://grooveshark.com/, basically its a bit like spotify ONLY it's a website and not a downloadable programme that CAN'T create virus' in your hard drive. It randomises songs or else lets you create a free account where u can create as many playlists as your heart desires. I found this new song by Ed Sheeran, not too sure what I think of it yet but it might growww on me as some say.

So craving a bit of baking, some cheesecakes or a sponge cake... yummy eh?

Till next time

"If i could only find a note to make you understand"

Tonight's antics: I went to the cinema to watch a new film called Horrible Bosses. Loads of people raved about it and it wasn't a bad film... but it wasn't as funny as I thought. There was this one woman, aged somewhat over 50 I would think peeling oranges with a walking flask *sneaky thing* and then another man thought he was alone in his living room by the laughs he was letting out. It made me laugh, the way people are and act in the cinema. They sort of get lost and think they are sitting alone in a darken room watching a film....

I especially like being nosey with the other couples, not in a perv way of course, I secretly enjoy when you can tell they are on their first date. God I am getting old!

Anyway the lyrics/quote from the post title is from my all time fav lovey dovey song by Gym Class Heroes, and below is a linkypoo because I do enjoy the lyrics... and Travie.... This was the best video on youtube that wasnt someone normal singing it. I don't know how you can never get official videos when you want them the most.

On a last note I have found a new author that I love. She is called Kate Morton, she writes books that are based in the English past, normally war time or around 1950's depending on the book you read. She has three published so far. The best one I have read so far is "Distant Hours" 600 pages that I finished in two days...IT WAS THAT GOOD. I finished her book "House at Riverton" so I only have one more to go before I have read all her books, wish there was longer!

Night... I'm going to get photos up of my wall decals 2mara to show you my arty side.... or else transfer skills :)

I'm not drowning.....

I adore singing this song in the car and I think from the speed that others do in front of me (slow mo's) other people find my dancing.... amusing? I swear I love her songs, you should chec-chec-check them out.

Haha its such a feminist song in my mind. GO YOU!

"Who died and made you king of anything".... sometimes i mutter that to myself about dickwads!
